A Bit About Trish
Trish Risk is a dedicated clinical counsellor passionate about supporting individuals to create meaningful and lasting change in their lives. With a warm, collaborative approach, she prioritises building strong therapeutic relationships as the foundation for growth and healing.

Trish has experience in private health settings, facilitating both inpatient and outpatient group programs for adults and adolescents navigating mood and anxiety disorders. She specialises in supporting clients through emotional dysregulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal challenges.

Having completed DBT Foundational Training and DBT Training for Adolescents & Caregivers through Behavioral Tech - established by Dr. Marsha Linehan - Trish integrates Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) principles into her practice. She was drawn to DBT having noticed the changes clients were able to experience through the dialectical approach of acceptance and change, as well as through learning DBT skills, which deepened her passion for working with young people and families. Through evidence-based strategies, she helps build emotional resilience, self-awareness, and connection.

Beyond her work, Trish finds joy in early morning ocean swims, spending quality time with her family, and keeping up with her energetic Beagle.
