Ileana Hatton

Ileana is a clinical psychologist with over 17 years of experience. She has worked across community mental health settings including youth health, sexual assault, Acute Care and Community Mental Health teams, as well as private practice settings in Australia. She specialises in chronic health problems, early attachment issues and complex trauma. She also worked for five years for Medecins sans Frontieres providing psychological support in the Occupied Palestinian territories (West Bank), India and Ethiopia.

Ileana was drawn to working in DBT due to the capacity for this therapy to set a strong foundation necessary for trauma work and the community-centred approach to working with clients. In her spare time Ileana loves dancing, learning about and practising permaculture and exploring the garden or climbing play equipment with her kids.
